We all know cat owners love their cats. As it turns out, cat projects can be a pretty lucrative genre in crowdfunding as well!
Here are my three favourite cat-themed crowdfunding projects.
1. Kittyo
Kittyo was a project managed by another crowdfunding consultant, and I was super-impressed with his approach. If you’re a crowdfunding geek like me, you’ll probably find his website an interesting read.
Beyond a well-managed campaign, Kittyo is also a really cool cat product that allows you to watch, play with, talk to, record, and even feed your cat remotely via an app on your smartphone. The app connects to the Kittyo gadget in your house and means that you’ll never truly be without your pet.

2. Cat Planet
A webseries currently funding on Indiegogo about a group of roomates who discover their cat can talk, and is an alien.
Straight-forward enough I guess, but there’s also a wonderful partnership with Brooklyn Animal Action, which the creators hope will help get more rescue cats into loving homes.
3. Catlateral Damage
Let’s face it, many cats lead a pretty charmed life. They get to sleep in the sun, make a big mess, and still get fed by their adoring worshipers daily.
The creators of Catlataral Damage are allowing you to experience that for yourself in their first person simulator game, now funding on Kickstarter.
