As you might be able to tell, I love crowdfunding projects that do a greater good.
This is another one of those projects.
Undoubtedly, one of the greatest gifts of the internet is how it has opened up information. No longer are we left in the dark, or needing to visit our local library for a how-to guide. It’s all here. The digital age has completely revlutionised the ways we create, access and apply information to our lives.
But while the western world has had access to this technology for almost 20 years, poorer nations have not.
That is, until now.
Library for All is an online library for the developing world – providing access to an entire world of knowledge – not just that which is contained in the containers of books that are flown in by aid missions.
I’m just backing this one at a low level. I think it’s the kind of project that can make the world a better place, and I want to support that.
Minimum pledge: $10 for your name on a contributor wall, updates, and a bookmark.
Reward options: Ranging from merchandise at the lower levels to membership at the higher ones.
